9 Local Sex Offenders Were Arrest for Violations During Trick-or-Treat Times

Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office conducted its annual “Operation Trick or Treat” initiative on Sunday. 

The Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections  Probation and Parole, and police departments in Milwaukee and West Allis, to ensure that sex offenders in Milwaukee County complied with DOC guidelines prohibiting interaction with trick-or-treaters.

During trick-or-treat hours on Sunday, deputies and state DOC Probation and Parole conducted checks on 220 registered sex offenders.  Nine sex offenders were arrested for violation of their probation and parole conditions.

Some of the violation details were:

·         Possessing pornography (1 subject)

·         Children’s items in residence (4 subjects)

·         Illegal narcotics (1 subject)

·         Halloween items displayed (3 subjects)
