9 displaced in Milwaukee house fire

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Red Cross is helping nine people who were displaced from their home following a fire in Milwaukee early Thursday morning.

The fire department says it was called to the area near 36th and Thurston around 3:30 a.m. The fire was located in a bedroom on the second floor of the home. Fire crews say it was extinguished and under control shortly after they got to the scene.

One person was treated for minor injuries. Among the displaced are 4 adults and 5 children.
