75-year-old woman killed in Washington County crash

The Washington County Sheriff's Office believes that alcohol played a role in a two car crash that claimed the life of a 75-year-old woman Sunday morning.

Sheriff officials said that around 2:30 a.m. a 42-year-old Town of Jackson man failed to stop at a stop sign and hit another vehicle at the intersection of Pioneer Road and County Highway G.

A 75-year-old female passenger of that vehicle was killed. The 80-year-old diver suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The 42-year-old Town of Jackson man was ejected from from his vehicle and was taken to Froedtert Hospital via flight for life with serious injuries.

The accident is still under investigation, but the Sheriff's Office believes that alcohol may be a contributing factor.
