70s Likely This Weekend

It's been a while since we've felt the heat. Only three days so far in 2019 made it to the 70s.  All three came in April. On the 8th of the month we enjoyed our first seventy of the year hitting 73°. The 21st and 22nd came in with back to back 70s at 74° and 76° respectively. Now we're eyeing another day in the 70s this Sunday, May 5th. And it's getting to the point in our season where 70s are soon the norm. Check out the averages for May:

As you can see, by the end of the month average highs are right at seventy degrees.

But let's take a look back at recent May starts here in Milwaukee, through the first five days.

It looks like 2018 was off to a hot start, but as you can see from other years, that's not always the case. So far this May hasn't been warm, but it has been rainy!

Now we finally get to trade the rain and clouds for sun and milder temps.

Get out and enjoy it!

Later on we'll be on the lookout for a cold front to approach from the west. The timing looks to bring rain back by Sunday evening. Be sure to download the CBS58 Ready Weather App to stay weather aware and keep an eye on the radar for later day plans. It's free for Apple and Android devices.
