Six-year-old Alex Hook was hurt in a freak lawnmower accident last month. His family says he will leave Children's Wisconsin this week.
They posted on social media on Sunday, Oct. 10 that Hook has many hurdles in front of him and still can't walk on his own.
He underwent emergency brain surgery after he was hit by a flying piece of metal that was shot out by a lawnmower.
The boy was playing outside during recess at his school in Silver Lake.
