65-year-old victim of Hampton Avenue hit and run dies

Milwaukee (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Police Department confirmed that a 65-year-old man has died from injuries sustained when hit by a car. 

Authorities identified the victim Monday, March 7, as William Holmes.

The incident took place on the 4900 block of W. Hampton Ave. at around 11:30p.m. on Sat. March 5. The man was taken to an area hospital and passed away due to injuries sustained in the collision.

He was struck by an unknown vehicle that did not remain at the scene. 

The incident is under investigation and Milwaukee Police are seeking an unknown suspect at this time.
