WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Downtown Waukesha was filled with families for the 61st annual Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Thousands lined Barstow, Main, and Maples streets to check out the festive floats and holiday music.
Of course, it was a bittersweet day for many. It has been three years since a man drove an SUV through the parade route, killing six and injuring more than 60.
Since then, the city uses modular vehicle barriers that are designed to help protect crowds from traffic but can be easily moved out of the way if there is an emergency.
