MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett says the number of flu hospitalizations reported to the Health Department has already surpassed last year's numbers.
611 patients have been hospitalized so far for flu symptoms. This time last year, there were 140 and 400 for the entire 2017 season.
No pediatric flu deaths have been reported in Milwaukee County.
