60-year-old man dead after UTV rollover crash in Dodge County

LEBANON, Wis. (CBS 58) --- A 60-year-old man died after a utility terrain vehicle (UTV) rollover crash in Dodge County on Saturday, May 1 around 11 p.m.

Officials say the Dodge County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) responded to the scene near Monroe and La Follette roads in Lebanon, near Watertown.

The driver of the UTV was pronounced dead at the scene. A dog was an apparent passenger and was uninjured and released to family.

Officials say the initial investigation revealed the UTV left the roadway and overturned in a marshy ditch, ejecting the 60-year-old driver. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt or helmet, and officials say alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash.

The roadway was open to ATV and UTV use.
