6-year-old struck by a truck in Fond du Lac County faces life-threatening injuries

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 6-year-old is facing life-threatening injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in Fond du Lac County on Thursday, April 11.

It happened around 5 p.m. near Townline Road. 

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the preliminary investigation indicates that a pickup truck driven by a 20-year-old male from Van Dyne was traveling southbound on Townline road when it struck a 6-year-old. The 6-year-old is also from Van Dyne, according to authorities. 

The 6-year-old female was medically transported from the scene with life threatening injuries. 

The 20-year-old sustained no injuries, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
