6-year-old flown to hospital with severe injury following Racine crash

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A six-year-old girl was flown to a hospital following a two-vehicle accident in Racine on Wednesday, Sept. 8. 

Officials say the crash happened near Ashland and Olive shortly before 8 a.m. 

Upon arrival, officers discovered the girl had sustained a severe injury during the crash. She was transported to Children's Hospital by Flight For Life. 

Officials say all other injuries sustained during the accident were non-life-threatening. 

Impairment did not play a role in the accident, according to police.
