54-year-old man shot, injured near 5th and Garfield

Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 1:00 a.m. in the 500 block of W. Garfield Avenue.

A 54-year-old man was shot by a male suspect during circumstances that remain under investigation at this time.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

MPD continues to seek a motive and search for the suspect.
