53-year-old woman shot during armed robbery

Milwaukee police are investigating a late night shooting at 50th and Locust Street. At 9:03 p.m. a suspect approached the victim in what is believed to be a robbery attempt. Shots were fired and the suspect got away with her red 2007 Chrysler Pacifica SUV.
The victim, a 53-year-old Milwaukee woman, was seriously injured in the shooting. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
