36-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man arrested for 4th OWI

LAKE WAZEECHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced Saturday night, Nov. 27, that a 36-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man was arrested for his 4th OWI offense near 76th and Kellner near Lake Wazeecha, Wisconsin.

Authorities report that at 8:22 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 36-year-old Tyler R. Brown from Wisconsin Rapids, was arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Wausau Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 4th offense.

Officials say that a trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol, Wausau Post, stopped a 2009 GMC Sierra over for an equipment violation on Kellner Road and 76th Street near Wisconsin Rapids, in Wood County.

During the stop, the trooper reportedly detected the odor of intoxicants coming from inside the vehicle, and the 36-year-old driver showed signs of impairment.

Authorities say that after a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety testing, the driver was arrested for Operating Under the Influence, 4th offense.
