30-Year-Old Arrested After 9-Year-Old Shot by Family Member

A 30-year old Milwaukee woman was arrested for Leaving a Loaded Firearm Near a Child causing the shooting of a 9-year-old. 

This case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.

The child remains hospitalized. 

A 9-year old Milwaukee male, was shot by a juvenile family member while inside the family’s home, according to Milwaukee Police.  

Milwaukee Police are investigating what is believed to be accidental shooting that happened on Wednesday around 3:50 p.m. in the 2700 block of N. 20th Street. 

The victim suffered a serious injury and was transported to a local hospital.
