MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- We're still two months away from opening day, but Brewers fans got to see their favorite players over the weekend at Brewers on Deck.

It was a special experience for one fan in particular, who calls himself Christian Yelich's bff.

Crystal Gonzalez says her son Carter became a big Christian Yelich fan while the team was in the playoffs.

"He started asking for Yelich to come to his birthday party and to bring his friend Ryan Braun," said Gonzalez.

Brewers on Deck for 2019 happened to be the day before Carter's third birthday.

"Once we saw Brewers on Deck was the day before Carter's birthday we knew we had to be there... he thought all day yesterday was his birthday party," said Gonzalez.

Crystal had a t-shirt custom made for Carter. It said "Yelich is my BFF."

But once they got in line, they were worried they wouldn't meet the MVP. That's when family friend, Maddie Ball, started tweeting.

"They originally told us they already had their 250 people, but we were optimistic so we sat around for four hours and that's originally why I tweeted out not actually realizing Yelich would even see it," said Ball.

After waiting for hours, they were given voucher number 250 out of 250 to see Christian Yelich.

"We both started crying," said Ball.

Carter got to meet his hero, leaving with a few selfies and an autograph. He plans to hang it on his wall.

"He was starstruck," said Crystal.

Soon after meeting his favorite player, Carter was convinced Christian Yelich would join him for a birthday lunch the next day at Chick-fil-A.

The MVP was a little busy, but he did give Carter one more present.

"I get out of the shower, and I get the notification: Christian Yelich retweeted your tweet. So, I come flying down the stairs in my towel, 'You guys! You'll never guess this,'" said Ball.

The tweet now has over 1,000 likes.

The MLB wrote an article about Carter meeting Christian and the Brewers have asked Carter to come to Miller Park for a game.
