26-year-old man taken into custody for misuse of 911 in Sussex

SUSSEX, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 26-year-old man was taken into custody for the misuse of 911 calls on Saturday, Jan. 27.

The Waukesha County Communications Center took numerous 911 calls from a 26-year-old male from the Village of Sussex. There was no emergency and deputies made contact with him, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department. He was issued a citation and continued to make 911 calls. 

He was taken into custody for misuse of 911 after his 5th call in under two hours. When he was being arrested, he was resisting arrest. 

He was placed in jail for false 911 calls, disorderly conduct, and resisting, according to the sheriff's department.
