25-year-old Wausau woman sentenced to federal prison for distribution of child pornography

WAUSAU, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 25-year-old Wausau woman was sentenced to 90 months in federal prison for distribution of child pornography on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Officials say Natalie Ticho was found to be engaged in explicit conversations concerning the sexual abuse of children by undercover investigations, as well digital images of child pornography. Court filings say the incident happened on Nov. 17 2020.

A search warrant was obtained for Ticho's home and electronic devices and revealed hundreds of images of child pornography and several online accounts used for the purpose of obtaining and distributing illegal images.

Following Ticho's release from prison, she will spend ten years on supervised release. She will also be required to register as a sexual offender.

According to a news release, Ticho’s arrest and subsequent conviction were part of Operation Kick Boxer, a collaborative effort involving the Milwaukee Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI), the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office. The Wausau Police Department, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, and the Marathon County District Attorney’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
