MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The victim of Monday morning's fatal shooting has been identified by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office as 24-year-old Martel Winters of Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 24-year-old died following a gunshot near 15th and Congress early Monday, June 3.

Milwaukee police report that the shooting took place shortly after 1 a.m. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials are not yet sure about what led up to the shooting and are seeking unknown suspects.
