MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The 2026 Winter Olympics starts up next month in Italy, but for one event, the path to the world stage runs through Milwaukee. 

Team USA's speed skating trials are happening at the Pettit Center this week. 

There's a number of big names in our hometown, with their eyes set on getting gold. 

That includes Kewaskum native and world record holder Jordan Stoltz. 

For anyone wanting to watch these trials in-person, your options are a bit limited. 

Weekend tickets are sold out, but there still a few left for the last day, which is Monday afternoon.
