GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- As late July rolls around, so does the Green Bay Packers training camp. 

Day one of Packers training camp kicked off Wednesday, July 29, making it the 81st edition that began in 1946 under Curly Lambeau. With some of the players still riding bikes from Lambeau to Ray Nitschke Field, it appears not much has changed since then. 

Despite falling in the first game of the playoffs three years in a row, the players and staff are still wanting to compete for a Super Bowl. 

"The longer I do this? The more I keep reminding myself of Ted," Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst said. "Just trying to get through it healthy. But at the same time understanding what you have to do to become a good football team and how important this time of year is." 

"Yeah, I told the team yesterday this is as excited as I've ever been coaching this football team," Packers Head Coach Matt Lafleur said. "Ok my time here. And it's because of the people we have in the room. I mean players, coaches, support staff, everybody. So, we're just ready to go." 

Adding on to the excitement of the day, Gutekunst told our CBS 58 Sports Director, Lance Allan, that you will see Packers' tight end, Tucker Kraft, sooner or later. After tearing his ACL last season, Kraft is still on track to play week one, per Gutekunst.
