MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The 2020 DNC will have a major impact not just on Milwaukee, but the state as a whole.
Elected officials, business and civic leaders want to make the most of the opportunity to showcase the city and state.
People with Wisconsin's Department of Tourism want to capitalize as much as they can on the convention.
"We look at this as not just the political road to Milwaukee, but instead a traveler's experience of the roads to Wisconsin. So it really becomes a storytelling opportunity and an image sharing opportunity for the entire state," says Sara Meaney with the Department of Tourism.
People with Destination Madison say they are also ready to help out with hotel rooms and other spaces needed.
