NOW: 2 shot in Milwaukee’s Third Ward, car driven to MPD District 1

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two people were injured in a shooting in Milwaukee's Third Ward Tuesday evening, Dec. 13.

MPD sources confirm the two people were shot near Water Street and Buffalo at around 6:30 p.m. as the result of a road rage incident.

A 35-year-old man from Keshena was shot 10 times. A 19-year-old woman from Green Bay was shot five times, including in the head. Both suffered life-threatening injuries.

The victims then drove themselves to Milwaukee Police District 1. From there the two victims were taken to Froedtert Hospital.

The shooting did not involve any police officers.

Fire officials say a third patient on-scene had a panic attack and was also taken to the hospital in an ambulance for treatment.

After the shooting, officers focused on a silver Chevy four-door sedan. It was parked on the eastbound side of State Street between 8th and James Lovell, directly outside MPD headquarters.

The car had a Menominee tribe license plate. There was also broken glass in the street near the rear driver's side window, though it's not clear if that window was shot out.

That car was towed away at about 8 p.m.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Police are seeking unknown suspects.
