2 teens charged in reckless driving crash outside Morse Middle School

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Two teens are now charged in connection to a reckless driving crash involving a stolen Kia and school bus. The crash happened Monday, May 1, near Morse Middle School on Milwaukee's north side. 

According to court documents, a 15-year-old boy in the stolen vehicle was seriously hurt and remains in a medically induced coma. 

The 14-year-old boy -- identified as the driver -- has been charged with the following: 

  • First degree reckless injury
  • Hit-and-run - great bodily harm 
  • First degree recklessly endangering safety 
  • Second degree recklessly endangering safety
  • Drive or operate a vehicle without owner's consent

A second teen is charged with operating a vehicle without owner's consent. 

The teens have not been identified because they are minors.
