2 Semi cabs charred in overnight fire in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee and North Shore firefighters cleared a potentially dangerous scene overnight after a semi truck believed to be carrying fertilizer caught fire.

Officials say two semi cabs caught fire near Bradley and Grandville Woods roads in Milwaukee just before 3 a.m. Monday.

Firefighters thought one of the trailers was carrying a load of fertilizer, and worked quickly to remove contents of the trailer.

The load turned out to be some type of potting soil, officials say, and the fire was put out in about 45 minutes.

There were no injuries.
