2 Milwaukee police officers hospitalized after dog attack during arrest
CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Two Milwaukee police officers were taken to a hospital Wednesday afternoon after police say a woman ordered her dog to attack them during an arrest.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers responded shortly before 4 p.m. to a trespassing complaint at a business on South Fifth Court.
Police said officers were attempting to arrest a 25-year-old woman when she allegedly instructed her dog to attack them.
The dog bit two officers before police used less-lethal measures to stop the attack, according to the department.
The injured officers are a 36-year-old with more than two years of service and a 27-year-old with less than one year of service.
Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment and have since been released, police said.
The 25-year-old woman was arrested. The investigation remains ongoing.
