2 juveniles injured after being struck by vehicle crossing North Avenue in Wauwatosa

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two 15-year-old Wauwatosa residents were struck by a vehicle while crossing W. North Avenue near Menomonee River Parkway. 

It happened just after 9:15 a.m. on Friday, July 8. 

Wauwatosa police say the juveniles were running northbound on the trail along the west side of Menomonee River Parkway when they were struck by a vehicle turning left. 

Both children were transported to Children's Wisconsin with injuries but are expected to fully recover. 

The 20-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. 

There were no signs of reckless or intoxicated driving. Members of the Wauwatosa Police Department Crash Investigation Unit are handling the investigation.
