2 hospitalized after race car vs pit truck crash at Madison International Speedway

RUTLAND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two individuals were hospitalized following a rollover crash at Madison International Speedway on Friday, Aug. 27.

Dane County deputies and Oregon Fire responded to an injury crash at Madison International Speedway on Sunrise Road in Rutland shortly before 9 p.m.

Officials say two of the competing cars in the race collided, which resulted in a crash with a maintenance truck on the track. It caused the maintenance truck to roll over, injuring two individuals in the truck.

Two individuals were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
