2 $200,000 Powerball winning tickets sold in Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two $200,000 winning tickets were sold for the Monday, July 17 Powerball drawing in two lucky Wisconsin cities; The tickets were purchased at Kwik Trip on 806 S. Main St. in West Bend and at Jandu Petroleum on 1101 Lake St. in Algoma.

The winning tickets matched four of five numbers (5-8-9-17-41) but not the Powerball (21).

Wisconsin Powerball players have been pretty lucky this month. Since July 1, eight winning tickets ranging from $50,000 to $200,000 have been sold at stores across the state.

The Powerball jackpot has reached the one-billion-dollar mark for the third time.

The next drawing on Wednesday, July 19 is estimated at $1 billion. The jackpot has an estimated cash value of $516.8 million.

Though the jackpot was not won, the Wisconsin Lottery urges players to check their tickets for one of the nine ways to win. The Monday drawing yielded more than 2.8 million winning tickets nationwide, with players winning lower-tier cash prizes worth a combined $41.7 million.

The Wisconsin Lottery also reminds players to please play responsibly.
