19 year-old dies from gun shot wound on East Garfield

Milwaukee Police are investigating a homicide that occurred at 11:40 PM in the 200 block of E. Garfield on July 21. 
Officers responded to a 911 call and located Angelo Young suffering from a serious gunshot wound. 
He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later died. 

He's been identified as Angelo Young,19.

This was the 87 homicide in Milwaukee.  One more than all of the homicides last year in the city.

Friends and family gathered Wednesday night for a vigil at Rufus King High School.

\"It's time for our young people to gather up and be strong as a unit,\" declared Kathy Thornton whose daughter went to prom with Angelo. \"It's time for Milwaukee to see that.\"
