18-year-old taken to hospital after shooting in Racine

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An 18-year-old is taken to the hospital after a shooting in Racine Wednesday early morning. 

Police say officers responded to the area of Douglas Avenue and North Street around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday after getting reports of shots fired in the area. An 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds was found and taken to an area hospital. The man's condition is unknown. 

Police say they are following up on several leads, however, no suspect is in custody at this time. The shooting is still under investigation.
