MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman died Sunday night, Dec. 5, 2021, in a crash near Teutonia and W. Custer Ave.

Milwaukee police believe speed, weather and road condition are all factors that caused the driver of the car to lose control, hitting a tree and a pole before rolling over.

According to police, an initial investigation revealed the vehicle was southbound on Teutonia Ave. The 18-year-old woman was driving the vehicle and was ejected during the crash. She was taken to a local hospital and died from her injuries.

A passenger in the car, a 19-year-old woman from Milwaukee, survived with minor injuries.

A combination of speed, weather, and road conditions are believed to have contributed to the accident. No other vehicles were involved.
