18-year-old man dies after being pulled from Como Lake in Town of Geneva

WALWORTH COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An 18-year-old man died after being pulled from Como Lake in the Town of Geneva on Sunday, May 29. 

Just before 8 p.m., Town of Geneva police were called to a pier on Como Lake, associated with a residence off South Shore Drive. 

Officials say an 18-year-old was pulled from the water with no pulse and was not breathing. Life-saving efforts were administered and the man was transported to Mercy Medical Center, then to the University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital. 

Due to the sustained injuries, officials say the man passed away on Monday, May 30. 

He was identified by authorities as Adam Jablonski, of Vernon Hills, Illinois. 

Assisting at the scene was Lake Geneva Fire and Rescue Departments, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the Walworth County Sheriff's Department, and the Walworth County Medical Examiner's Office. 

An investigation is ongoing.
