18-year-old Hartford man seriously injured after being ejected from motorcycle
Deputies and rescue squads responded to the 7200 block of Lee Road in Hartford for a single vehicle (motorcycle) crash with injury on Sunday afternoon.
Upon arrival, Flight for Life was called for the operator and sole occupant of the motorcycle.
Initial investigation shows that the operator was westbound on Lee Road when he lost control for an unknown reason. He veered right and went through the ditch, drive about 200ft through a grass area, and struck a split rail fence where he was ejected.
The operator was flown to a local hospital where is currently being treated for serious injuries including a head injury.
The operator is an 18-year-old man from Hartford. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
