iStock.com/ttatty WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Wisconsin's Department of Health Services (DHS) has confirmed 18 cases of E. coli and salmonella in Wisconsinites linked to alfalfa sprouts.
The health department says the cases are connected to a multistate outbreak of infections related to alfalfa sprouts from Everything Sprouts, sold under the Calco and Everything Sprouts brands. The sprouts were distributed to restaurants and grocery stores.
One person in Wisconsin has been hospitalized, according to DHS. Minnesota has also identified 23 cases linked to the outbreak.
Health officials say anyone who has eaten these sprouts should monitor for symptoms.
