MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 17-year-old girl is expected to be okay after police say she was hit by a bullet when a fight broke out on Milwaukee's north side.
Police said the teen told officers a large group of people were gathering in the 4400 block of N. 26th Street when a fight erupted between several people within the group. The fight escalated and gunshots were fired. That's when the victim says she was hit by a bullet. She was taken to the hospital by a friend and is expected to survive her injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and police are still looking for a suspect.
