Azari Reed-Irish was shot and killed last month near Darien and Green Tree on Friday, Nov. 21.

Amud Newburn is being charged as an adult and is facing a first-degree intentional homicide charge in Reed-Irish's murder. 

In court filings, police say Newburn was seen walking with Reed-Irish and two other people on surveillance video. Video captured Newburn allegedly hold a gun. 

The video showed one of them, allegedly Newburn, grab onto Reed-Irish, shoot him in the head, then shoot him once more after he fell. 

One of the other people in the group told police he believed Newburn and one other person were going to try robbing Reed-Irish of his gun and told them not to. 

Newburn is being held on a $100,000 cash bond and has another court date next week.
