MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With Christmas exactly one month away, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett hopes you'll do some shopping for others.
The mayor launched the 13th annual city-county "Holiday Drive" Wednesday, Nov. 25.
From now until Dec. 16, the drive asks for donations of non-perishable food, household items, clothing or money.
This year's holiday drive will help two places that offer shelter food and other assistance to homeless people in Milwaukee: The Guest House and Hope House.
"Every part of what we do has been affected by COVID-19. It's been even more challenging for those in our community facing homelessness. And this drive allows them that little bit of peace to know that our families will be able to provide some cheer to their families," said Mayor Barrett.
In past years, you could bring your donations to drop boxes around the city. This year, the drive is virtual.

In partnership with Milwaukee County and the @Brewers Community Foundation, we have launched our 13th Annual Holiday Drive in support of individuals and families at both @HopeHouseMKE and @guesthousemke in need of housing and support services.
