13-year-old charged for fatal shooting of a 10-year-old

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 13-year-old was in court on Thursday, Dec. 28, charged in the deadly shooting of a 10-year-old girl.

Trinity Johnson was shot earlier this month near 39th and Hampton

Today, a judge found there is probable cause to charge the 13-year-old with reckless homicide.

The teen did not enter a plea and will undergo a medical evaluation.

The defense asked to have the teen released to a family member, but the judge denied the request.

Per court orders, we are not showing or naming the juvenile defendant.
