13-Year-old boy shot during altercation on Milwaukee's east side

MILWAUKEE -- A 13-year-old boy is recovering from a gunshot wound after being shot on a porch Thursday night.


Milwaukee police say the teen was arguing with two other people who were walking past a home near Buffum Street and North Avenue around 9:15 p.m.


One of the subjects pulled out a gun and fired several shots from the sidewalk and the teen was struck.


He sustained non-life threatening injuries. No suspects are in custody. 


Police reported two more shootings Thursday night, including a 21-year-old man who was shot near 26th and Atkinson during a fight just before 10:30 p.m. and a 24-year-old man who walked into a local hospital with several gunshot wounds just before midnight. Police believe the man may have been shot near 18th and Meinecke.
