KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 12-year-old from Kenosha is stepping up to make sure everyone has a merry Christmas.
Jaxson Thomas has one goal in mind this holiday season: Spread holiday cheer by helping local children and families in need.
Growing up with autism, Jaxson relies on his community for support, and to give back to his hometown he's organized his biggest toy drive yet.
This year, Jaxson is collecting toys for local elementary school students within select schools in the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD).
"I know sometimes that kids don’t have Christmas presents or barely anything and I just want to put a smile on their face for this Christmas," Jaxson said.
If you would like to donate, you can drop off toys at select locations in Kenosha:
- Shels Bridal, 625 57th Street
- Drifters Grill, 24317 75th Street, Salem
- Sherwood Meat Market
Jaxson also has an Amazon Wish List for the kids in need. The last day for donations is Saturday, Dec. 7.
