1 person seriously injured in 2 separate overnight shootings

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two overnight shootings from Monday, Nov. 1 to Tuesday, Nov. 2.

The first shooting happened Monday night around 10:40 p.m. near 82nd and O'Connor St. The victim is a 47-year-old man from Milwaukee. He suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department. The victim was rushed into surgery and is in serious condition.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation. Milwaukee police have two known suspects in custody in relation to the shooting. Milwaukee Police are investigating a second shooting that occurred on Monday, Nov. 2, 2021 around 1:53 a.m. near 37th and N. 14th St. The victim, a 58-year-old man from Milwaukee, suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department. The victim is expected to survive.
