JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An investigation is underway after a crash in the Town of Watertown that left one person dead and two others seriously injured Saturday, May 30.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the single-vehicle crash on Little Coffee Road just after 7 p.m. and found a vehicle that had landed in a creek.
Two of the occupants were taken by ambulance for treatment and another was flown to Aurora Summit Hospital.
Officials say a preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was traveling northbound on Little Coffee Road when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the road, struck a ditch, and came to rest in the creek.
A passenger of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the hospital.
