
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- One person is dead and another arrested following a crash near 35th and Hopkins St.
It happened around 10 a.m. Friday morning, May 2.
According to MPD, an unknown suspect fired shots in the 4500 block of N. 37th St. which caused a vehicle to flee the area. The vehicle ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle that held two passengers. One passenger, a 61-year-old, was transported to a hospital and died from their injuries.
Several occupants from the first vechicle entered another vechicle and fled the scene of the crash. One occupant was arrested, a 23-year-old woman. Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
No other injuries were reported.
