JEFFERSON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One person is dead after a fatal crash in Jefferson County on Friday, March 15. 

It happened around 9:22 p.m. near Beryl Dr in the Town of Watertown. 

Deputies responded to a one vehicle fatal crash. According to the sheriff's office, preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle was traveling west bound at a high rate of speed when it failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The vehicle then rolled several times, and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. 

The driver of the truck was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The crash is being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
