Woman and dog rescued from Sheboygan house fire

SHEBOYGAN--Firefighters in Sheboygan rescued a woman and her dog from a house fire Saturday night.


Crews were called to the home on 12th Ave around 9:45 p.m.


They observed smoke and fire from several blocks away.


When they arrived they saw a woman through a second floor window.


Firefighters raised a ladder and were able to safely rescue the woman and her dog.


Crews searched the home and determined there were no other occupants.


It took 17 firefighters to bring the blaze under control.


There was damage done to the second floor, the roof, the back exterior of the home and a rear porch.


Crews and investigators were on scene for about 6 hours.


The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
