WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Waukesha County is expanding its resources to help people in emergencies.
County leaders took a tour of the expanded communications center.
The building now has a larger 911 dispatch center and more training space.
The facility was built to withstand extreme weather conditions, including an EF2 tornado.
It gives community leaders a place to make important decisions in case of an emergency.
"It brings folks that need to make critical decisions in place to do not only planning, but logistics, finance, and operations," said Gary Bell, Director of Emergency Preparedness for Waukesha County.
They also offered free tours of the center to the public on Tuesday evening.
