RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A new program in Racine is giving students a better chance to succeed in school and life. 

This year, Racine Unified School District has kicked its Competency-Based Diploma Program into high gear. The program allows students to graduate based upon demonstrated skills and abilities, rather than timed tests.

On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Kim Shine explored the partnership blazing a new path to finishing high school.
