Aldermen, Mayor Barrett, residents, and the Boy Scouts Troop 11 gathered at the intersection of 16th and Greenfield to support the initiative.

"Take it easy Milwaukee. The problem has been for far too long the reckless in Milwaukee has gotten out of hand. And it simply needs to come to an end," said Alderman Bob Donovan.

The pilot project will take place over three months and will include increased monitoring by the police.

The other three intersections being targeted are 27th and Center, 60th and Capitol, and 35th and National.
