Cedarburg (CBS 58)--An expected crowd of 100 thousand people will descend upon Cedarburg this weekend for the 33rd annual Strawberry Festival. The food, art, and music all center around this luscious fruit we love this time of year. 35 different non profits help to make this event a reality. Some highlights include hundreds of local and regional artists as well as strawberry shortcake eating and ice cream licking contests. Don't forget about the new Strawberry nachos and Brat corndogs too.
New to the scene at Strawberry Festival is something you really can’t miss. Blown-up “love balls” placed around the city. It’s part of a social media campaign taken off lately, symbolizing compassion and caring within individual communities. For all the festival activities, just click here.
